The 2015 Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction shortlist looks delicious, I want to buy them all. It includes one debut novelist, and the judge described the choices as "heart rendingly difficult". The shortlist is:
Rachel Cusk - Outline
Laline Paull -the Bees
Kamila Shamsie - A God in Every Stone
Ali Smith - How to be Both
Anne Tyler - A Spool of Blue Thread
Sarah Waters - The Paying Guests.
I'm particularly excited to see a Sarah Waters novel in the shortlist, and I'm drawn to Kamilia Shamsie's A God In Every Stone.
Waterstones Card Holders can win the Bailey's Prize for Fiction Longlist, including signed copes of the six shortlisted, it's worth entering for the Baileys goodies.
